Description:
Cecilio CVN-300 Violin The spruce top Cecilio CVN-300 violin is one of our most popular models and is specially crafted to meet the needs of a beginning violin student. With its ebony fingerboard and fittings, beautiful antique varnish finish, and exceptional tone and resonance, the CVN-300 violin is a durable, reliable, effective and capable instrument for beginners. It features superior clarity, remarkable responsiveness, a solid spruce top and a pleasantly bright and warm tone, providing students with an instrument they can confidently develop their skills with. Read more How to choose violin sizes Our violins are available in 8 different sizes: 4/4 (also known as full size), 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/10, 1/16 and 1/32. Full size is the largest and size 1/32 is the smallest. All adults, regardless of their size, should use a full size violin. There are two methods to finding your perfect sized violin. For the first method, measure the length between your neck and the middle of the palm of your left hand. Fully extend your hand and raise it perpendicular to your body like you are holding a violin. This measurement will determine the biggest size you should use. For the second method, measure the length from your neck to your wrist. This method is preferred by most violin instructors and will be the size that is most comfortable to hold. The following table lists the length of each violin size: If you have a teacher, ask their recommendation on which measurement to take. If you don't have a teacher, we recommend using the second method for students not using the full size, or 4/4. Students who are deciding whether to use size 3/4 or 4/4 should use the first method. This is because it is always better to prioritize comfort. However, when deciding between size 3/4 and size 4/4, if the first method allows for size 4/4, buying that size is more economical because it eliminates the need to buy a bigger size later. Choose your new violin based on what suits your needs!
