This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features houses and palm trees by water with two boats in the distance. Manor Shadian was born in 1931 and from a very early age showed great potential as a painter. He studied art at the Israel Academy of Fine Art and later became a teacher himself, instructing both children and adults. Over the past sixty years he has done shows all over Europe, Scandinavia and the United States, winning awards and picking up even more valuable skills along the way. His works, a simple form of expressionism, are marked by vibrant color and peaceful landscapes. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
