New Balance industrial footwear combines the benefits of a light weight high performance athletic shoe with the materialization and certified safety features required for work in an industrial environment. The New Balance Composite Toe 989v1 has crossover styling influenced by a mid-height hiker and athletic shoe. The front of the boot has full grain leather reinforced toe bumper and a flanged composition toe cap that ASTM-approved for impact and compression. A mesh- synthetic fabrication make the backs of these hikers breathable. The 6-inch height in combination with a padded collar provide protection to ankles and the Achilles tendon. A kick plate and pull tab in the back of the hiker helps your foot get in and out. Underfoot the 989v1 has a rubber outsole that meets or exceeds ASTM F2913-11 requirements for slip-resistance in oily and wet environments - keeping you covered indoors and outdoors.
