Dual-Gradient Density (DGD) offers a 50 micron pre-filter and 5 micron post-filter in one cartridge. Effective filter depth is increased to a full 233% of standard spun-polypropylene or string-wound filters. Spun fibers form a true gradient density from outer to inner surfaces Manufactured from pure 100% polypropylene. The PENTEK-DGD-5005-20 heavy duty filter cartridge is manufactured from 100% pure polypropylene and is sized for use in 20-inch Big Blue and other heavy-duty filter housings. The DGD-5005-20 cartridge uses a performance enhancing dual-gradient density filtration to achieve up to three times the dirt-holding capacity of similar size sediment cartridges. The increased depth of the filter media provides for very high particulate reduction efficiencies and makes it an excellent choice for all residential rural municipal and commercial applications.
