The wide handle on this café au lait cup swoops out of the rim, turns at an angle, and curves down to join the tapered base in a dramatic flourish. Both the cup and handle are crafted from one piece of vitrified china. Available separately is the saucer, a wavy rectangular plate that holds the cup nicely in a round well, leaving a curvy shelf for one or two chocolate biscotti. Similar in shape to the other cups in the New Wave Caffe collection, the 13-1/2-ounce Café au Lait cup is broader and shorter than the coffee mug and larger than the cappuccino and espresso cups.
