The PURAP cushion helps prevent and heal bedsores and helps provide relief from sciatica and other sitting pains. It can be used as a wheelchair seat cushion, a cushion for the elderly, a cushion for the disabled, and others suffering from sores and sitting pain. Born from personal experience: One of our founder's father-in-law developed a bedsore while at a skilled nursing facility. He ultimately passed away due to complications related to his sores. It made us understand the pain, suffering, and anxiety that patients and their loved ones undergo when they face such conditions. PREVENT SORES AND SITTING PAIN The PURAP cushion helps eliminate pressure hotspots, dissipate pressure, and reduce skin shear. It helps prevent and heal bedsores / pressure sores. It provides relief from sciatica, and sitting pain and numbness in the legs and buttocks. All foam and gel cushions ‘pack down’ at these contact points, become hard, and then ‘push back’ on those points. These contact points, usually around bony areas like the ischium, sacrum and coccyx, become ‘pressure hotspots’ that cause bed sores and sitting pains. Purap eliminates pressure hotspots and reduces overall pressure.
