Smarter Wireless Interconnection Upgraded with advanced wireless interconnection technology, this smoke alarm uses radio frequency (RF) signals to communicate with up to 24 alarms. When one alarm is triggered, all alarms will sound. This allows you to hear an alarm from anywhere in your home, regardless of where the fire hazard starts, ensuring the safety of your entire home. 5-Year Replaceable Battery with Low Battery Warning The wireless alarm utilizes a replaceable 3 V battery that supports up to 5 years of continuous monitoring. A self-check function issues a low battery warning - the red LED flashes once with one beep every 60 seconds - to inform you it’s time to replace the batteries, ensuring uninterrupted protection for enhanced safety. Quickly Locate the Source Alarm Only the originating unit can silence all interconnected alarms. Press the test/silence button on any interconnected alarm. If all alarms are muted, the smoke alarm you pressed is the source alarm. If one smoke alarm is still sounding, that alarm is the source alarm. How to Interconnect Press the test/silence button on one alarm 4 times. This alarm will beep once and the red LED will flash continuously. It will beep once more after successful interconnection. To interconnect a third smoke alarm, power it on, and press the test/silence button 4 times. Make sure to only have one smoke alarm in the interconnecting mode at a time. You can add up to 24 X-Sense wireless alarms in this manner. How to Silence Press the test/silence button during an alarm state, and the alarm will enter silence mode for 9 minutes. During the silence mode, the red LED will flash once every 5 seconds. The alarm will enter normal mode after 9 minutes. How to Test All Interconnected Smoke Alarms Hold down the test/silence button on a smoke alarm. This alarm will beep continuously with the red LED flashing. After 5 seconds, all other interconnected alarms follow suit. Release to stop testing.
