Materials - as you can see to your left, we chose a popular wood to build the body of your Ukulele - Mahogany! This wood not only looks incredible, it is also a great tonewood. ? The Fingerboard is made out of Rosewood. The Rosewood is a popular wood used in many musical instruments, including guitars. ? The neck of the ukulele is made out of Nato. ? Traditional white ABS Binding ? Beautiful Engraved Rosette ? Fret Binding - This feature gives you an amazing playing experience and makes the difference between a good ukulele and a GREAT ukulele. The fret binding and the neatly filed frets protect your fingers while you play. It may not look like much, but when you'll play it, you'll feel it! ? Bone Nut & Compensated Saddle - The Nut & Saddle in this ukulele are made out of Ox bone. In most ukuleles out there, the nut & saddle are made out of plastic. The nut & saddle directly influence the tone and sound of the ukulele as they are in direct contact with the strings! Important note: The saddle in this ukulele is a Compensated Saddle. Compensated Saddle helps micro-tuning (fine tuning) the intonation of the string so it plays as closely to in-tune as possible and in turn makes everything you play sound great! ? You also get a Padded Bag, Strap & 3 Picks! A few words about tuning your new Ukulele: Are you finding your new ukulele always needs tuning every time you want to play it? This is really common, particularly with new strings. Nylon strings take a certain amount of stretching before they settle down and hold their tune. How to solve: Tune it to the desired note, then pull up on the string over the sound hole to give it a bit of a stretch. That'll take it down about 2 whole notes, tune it back up and repeat until it stays in tune. A lot of folks who maybe aren't used to stringed instruments, especially nylon strings, get frustrated, but don't worry, these are decent strings, they just need a good stretch! ___________________________________________ What does a musician and an airplane technician have to do with Hola!
