Smoke detectors that are battery operated offer protection even during power failures. And photoelectric smoke detectors, like this one, are designed to quickly sense the types of particles that are likely to occur from smoldering fires. (It is recommended that both ionization and photoelectric smoke detectors be installed to help ensure maximum detection of the various types of fires that can occur within the home.) This smoke detector voices alerts, as well, and will announce “Fire! Fire!”, sound an 85-decibel alarm, and the red LED will flash when smoke or fire is detected. What’s more, the Smart Hush® feature reduces “false” or so-called “nuisance alarms” that can occur from things like everyday cooking, humidity, or dust and dirt.This Kidde smoke detector with voice alert is easy to install, and the fire alarm activates automatically when the unit is attached to the mounting bracket.
