LS9 cam is excellent for turbo and supercharged LS engines. For boosted engines, you want a more Lobe Separation Angle (LSA) and longer exhaust duration, and not too much lift as this can cause valve float. Detonation can occur if you have too much valve overlap. Bent valves and broken pistons can occur with too much lift. Stock LS9 engines are 376 cubic inches (6.2L) engines with 9:1 compression and boosted with the LS9 cam produce 638hp and 603ft/lbs of torque. And that is with relatively low boost pressure from a 2.3L four-lobe supercharger. But, you can crank up the boost and get close to 800hp without having to build a race engine.
