Ages 3+ On Disneyland Park’s opening day, July 17, 1955, Walt Disney made his grand entrance into Main Street Station at the controls of the Disneyland Railroad accompanied by his longtime partner Mickey Mouse, in the form of a one-of-a-kind plush figure. Engineer Mickey, dressed in engineer's overalls and cap, was created especially for the opening of Disneyland Park and appeared with Walt Disney on the live television special “Dateline Disneyland” as well as in publicity photos in the days leading up to the Park’s dedication. We are pleased to offer the first ever replica created of Engineer Mickey to honor Walt Disney’s love of railroading and the Magic Kingdom that it inspired.
